Itinerary
DAY 1: Sunday
The day has finally arrived for the start of WB Surf Camp’s Women’s Surf, SUP, & Yoga Retreat! The warm, emerald green waters of Wrightsville Beach are beckoning. We have been preparing for your arrival all year, and we promise that this will be a vacation to remember! Your oceanfront resort awaits you along with the stoked and smiling faces of your professional surf and yoga instructors. After a brief orientation we head right out to go Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Afterwards, we’ll freshen up and take you to one of our favorite restaurants for a delicious dinner. You already feel at home in this cozy coastal town, rated one of the top 10 surf towns in America by Surfing Magazine.
DAY 2: Monday
Nothing beats a Carolina sunrise! Our first surf and yoga sessions will take place on beautiful Topsail Island. You will enjoy the fact that we are practically the only ones here during the day. After an amazing beach yoga session, we start off with our ground school, during which your Lifeguard Certified Instructors will discuss ocean safety, marine life, and the basics of learning how to surf. We will make sure you’re well prepared before we even enter the water. Now the time has come to start catching waves! With a maximum 3:1 client to instructor ratio, you will receive personalized instruction to help minimize your learning curve and increase your comfort level in the water.
DAY 3: Tuesday
As we head out for today’s adventures we will all grab an organic juice from Wrightsville Beach’s Superfood bar SurfBerry. We will board our own private boat and our Captain will deliver us to the uninhabited Masonboro Island, where we’ll spend the day on our boards and yoga mats enjoying this quiet slice of paradise. A publicly protected conservation area, “Mase” remains intact and unchanged as a natural pristine barrier island. Upon arrival we will start things off with a morning yoga session. Once loosened up, we will hit the water for several surf sessions, with lunch in between.
DAY 4: Wednesday
We start today with our daily yoga practice on our SUP boards. Challenging yet amazing SUP yoga is a must try! We will paddle into our own secluded cove while our certified SUP yoga instructor will lead us through a blend of challenging movements, with a heavy emphasis on alignment of the body and movement with breath. After lunch we will head out for another amazing surf session while your coaches will continue your learning process. Our dinner destination this evening will be a lovely tapas restaurant in the heart of downtown Wilmington, just a block from the riverfront. Historic downtown Wilmington is a bustling city center with many shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences along the Cape Fear River.
DAY 5: Thursday
As the sun rises we’ll be guided through our yoga poses to help keep us limber and relaxed. Then it’s back to the private beaches of Topsail for another day filled with surfing. By now, yoga is becoming ingrained in your daily routine and you’re feeling more balanced and in tune with your body. Taking that to the water, you feel more confident in your surfing and you’re ready to push yourself further. You’ll be coached by your instructors as you begin paddling into your own waves today, getting longer rides and maybe even riding down the line.
This afternoon, you’ll be treated to something very special. We will receive a private guided tour of the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital in Surf City and meet the magical patients. Each turtle has a story, and you will find it difficult to not be affected by these amazing creatures.
DAY 6: Friday
We will we walk on water once again but this time we’ll be taking our yoga instruction with us. While tucked away in a secret cove, you will get away from it all during this SUP yoga session on the peaceful waters Banks Channel. After some deep meditation, we will scull through the breathtaking views and wave to the passing paddlers on our journey back to the harbor. Once back on land, we’ll delight ourselves at SurfBerry’s organic juice bar! SurfBerry’s fresh pressed juices, acai, pitaya bowls and smoothies are packed with essential vitamins and nutrients that will provide you with amazing energy and leave you feeling great for the rest of the day.
Before paddling out for an afternoon of surf, we will comb Wrightsville Beach as a part of the Surfrider Foundation beach sweep. Nothing gives back more than the stewardship of protecting our environment. Dinner tonight will be overlooking the waterway. While boats dock and music fills the air, we will reminisce on the day and cheers to our last night together.
DAY 7: Saturday
It’s your final day of your Surf, SUP, & Yoga retreat, but it’s not complete without one more surf and yoga session out in front of the resort. After a solid final session in the water, we’ll go out for lunch and share our stories, laughs, and memories of the week. Goodbyes will be said, and those clients who are flying out of ILM will be chauffeured to the airport by our staff.

Reviews
Irene, Apopka, FL – “I had the best time and did not want the week at WB Surf Camp to end. Bonding with the group and making new friends was the highlight for me. Surfing and yoga were awesome as well, but what made it so fun was experiencing it together and growing together with everyone. Thank you WB and the fab 5.”
Elise, Raleigh, NC – “Thank you all for a fabulous time!! it was just what this mom needed – the yoga on the beach & the fantastic surf lessons. I have the bug and hope to see you all again soon in the line up. With much thanks, gratitude & appreciation! WB Surf Camp, you guys rock – one stoked mom!”
Katie, Wilmington, NC – “I LOVE WB Surf Camp! I have been surfing off and on for a few years but never took a lesson. Now, I wished I had taken a lesson at the beginning. In just 5 days, I feel so much more comfortable in the ocean and I learned soooo much! The ratio of 1 instructor to 3 students was awesome, as we all got lots of attention in the water. I always felt safe and comfortable in the ocean. The instructors were all super positive and motivating and I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole day. I never felt rushed or stressed. The schedule was all very flexible depending on the waves and the weather. I recommend this to anyone, from beginners to experienced surfers. You will not only improve your surfing, but you will also make great new friends to share some incredible moments with. Om Shanti.”
Judy, Greensboro, NC – “I have had many terrific experiences in my life, travelled extensively, and met many different kinds of people. I consider your Women’s Surf Camp program one of the highlights of my life. At 51, surfing could have been a real challenge, but the instructors made it easy. The amount of time and care you have put into making a top notch surf camp was evident every day. I would absolutely recommend WB Surf Camp to friends and look forward to travelling with you again. GREAT INSTRUCTORS, GREAT PROGRAM YOU ALL ROCK!”
Eirinn, Danbury, CT – “I had an absolutely fantastic time at WB Surf Camp. Learned quite a bit while I was there. I am already looking into coming back!”
Emily, Ontario, CANADA – “The instructors were also very supportive. Whenever I felt like giving up, my instructor was always willing to help me figure out what I was doing incorrectly, or just suggest that I might be dehydrated or need to take a break. Either way, my instructor was always helpful. So in conclusion, I had loads of fun! I definitely think WB Surf Camp is one of the most exhilarating experiences that I will ever experience. I can’t wait to surf again.”
Jen, Burlington, VT – “Thanks for an awesome week! I had so much fun! I can’t wait to go surfing again, and maybe even come back to North Carolina (although I’m hoping that Vermont will also develop a coastline sometime soon…) Thanks again for a great time!”

Pamela, Las Vegas, NV – “The camp was wonderful, the instructors were entertaining, positive, flexible and seemed genuinely dedicated to making this a good experience for the group. Katie is one of the best yoga instructors I’ve had. Very knowledgeable, giving us beneficial poses and modifications for every skill level in the group. Most important, she had a great positive energy that made the sessions therapeutic.”
