Delaney Arthurs

Born and raised in Wilmington, NC, Delaney spent most of her childhood in the water. When not swimming or boogie boarding, Delaney was an avid soccer and basketball player, traveling up and down the East Coast to play competitively. The same determination she brought to sports carried over into her love for surfing, where she quickly developed her skills and passion for the sport.

She later moved to Boone, NC, to pursue a degree in psychology at Appalachian State University. It was there that she switched her surfboard for a snowboard, where she taught snowboard lessons for 3 years. But no matter where she went, her heart always stayed with the ocean.

Delaney recently moved back to Wilmington to complete her Masters in Social Work with the goal of becoming a mental health therapist. You can usually find Delaney grabbing coffee at her favorite local spot, out on the boat with friends, or working out at the gym. Delaney is excited to bring her knowledge, enthusiasm, and respect for the ocean to others as a surf instructor.
