Program Director
Amy Koch
Amy grew up in a small town in Vermont, where a deep love for the outdoors was rooted in her earliest years. That connection to nature grew into a lifelong mission: creating meaningful experiences that help people connect to the world around them, to themselves, and to each other.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Boston University and brings years of experience leading outdoor education programs across the country. From the front range of the Rockies to the north woods of Wisconsin to the Ecuadorian rainforest, Amy has guided participants in discovering the wonder and wisdom of the natural world. Most recently, she directed a residential outdoor education program in Texas before relocating to Wilmington to be closer to the ocean.
With a passion for environmental education, adventure, and community, Amy is thrilled to be part of the WB Surf Camp team. She looks forward to bringing positive energy, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to camp life—helping inspire young people to love the ocean, embrace adventure, and care deeply for the planet.
