Reese Walton

Reese was born and raised in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, where a deep connection to the ocean began early in life. Growing up along the coast, Reese developed a natural passion for the water and was introduced to surfing at a young age by her dad. What started as just a simple hobby quickly became something incredibly important to her. As she got older, Reese continued to build her skills and love for the sport by attending Wrightsville Beach Surf Camp herself, an experience that played a meaningful role in her journey as both a surfer and now an instructor.

Currently, Reese is still enrolled in high school and balances her academic responsibilities with an active and social lifestyle. She enjoys spending as much time as possible at the beach, out on the boat, at the gym, or with friends. Outside of her local community, Reese is passionate about traveling and has had the opportunity to surf in countless places around the world, expanding her perspective and deepening her appreciation for different coastlines and cultures. Looking ahead, she plans to attend college and pursue a degree in dental hygiene, combining her strong work ethic with her desire to build a meaningful career.

As an instructor, this is Reese’s first year working at Wrightsville Beach Surf Camp after countless years of attending as a camper, making the experience especially meaningful and full circle. She brings years of experience working with children through babysitting and volunteer work and is passionate about helping young kids learn and grow. Reese demonstrates strong leadership skills through patience, encouragement, and a positive attitude. She is excited to give back to the camp community and inspire young surfers to build confidence and enjoy the ocean.
