Ā
She began her journey in marine conservation as a teenager, studying ocean acidification in Indonesia and South Africa. These experiences shaped her understanding of ecology and taught her the power of stepping outside of oneās comfort zone. She went on to earn a degree in Environmental Studies and Public Education from California State University, Monterey Bay, and has since brought her passion for sustainability and interdisciplinary learning to communities around the world.
Ā
Whether she’s leading a composting workshop, designing an eco-construction project, or teaching scientific concepts through an artistic lense, Miakodaās work reflects her passion for reconnecting humans with their habitat. Sheās also on a personal mission to visit all seven continents. Antarctica is proving to be a challenge, but with the right mindset, anything is possible.
