Looking for a Weekend Escape to the Coast? Come Learn to Surf during our Fall Weekend Camps!
Fall is the perfect time for learning how to surf in coastal North Carolina. No crowds at the beach, warm water temps around 75 degrees, and WB Surf Camp offering professional surf coaching that will get you up and riding in no time! Our two day beginner Weekend Camps run from 8 am – 12 pm every weekend through October 21st. With eight total hours of personal, professional coaching, you will firmly understand the fundamentals of surfing while catching as many waves as you can stand! On Saturday, our instructors will prepare you on dry land before we hit the water, explaining ocean safety, board positioning, practicing “popups” on your board, and surfing etiquette. Then it’s time to ride waves until your arms feel like noodles and you have a permanent goofy grin on your face because you had no idea how much fun surfing could be!
Sunday commences with reliving the memories of the day before with your new surf buddies, then a good stretching session to work out any kinks. Your instructor will take your surfing knowledge to the next level by educating you on how to read the waves so you can start paddling into your own, and maybe even going down the line. Beginners start off riding waves straight in, then progress to riding down the line of the wave, which gives you a longer ride, and therefore bigger smiles. Who doesn’t like to smile?
By the time Sunday’s session is over, you’re hooked and checking your calendar for the next opening when you can hit the water again. Good thing WB Surf Camp offers lessons seven days a week, 365 days a year! Your confidence has been given a huge lift and no matter how old or young you are, you feel like a kid again. The ocean has become your new favorite playground!
