Catherine Helgesen

A native-born Jersey girl, Catherine spent her summers at the Jersey Shore, where she fell in love with the ocean. When the rest of her family moved to Wilmington, Catherine soon followed— only after grabbing hold of the man who would become her husband.

With a degree in accounting, Catherine has built a career as a CPA in public accounting and as a financial manager for medical practices. Today, she brings that experience to WB Surf Camp, helping support its welcoming culture while keeping the books running smoothly.

When she is not working with numbers, you’ll likely find Catherine enjoying long walks in the park with her snuggle pup, Roxy, or paddling the waterways of Wrightsville Beach. She also especially loves the peace and tranquility of exploring and hiking in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
