You Know You're A Surfer When…
No Shoes, No Problem. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but there seems to be a strong correlation between people who love the beach and not wearing shoes. Whatever the occasion may be, you would rather be barefoot while doing it. In our office, it’s rare to see our team with something on their feet.
Somehow you incorporate surfing into every conversation. It’s not on purpose, but you just relate all things back to surfing. This may make your other non-surfing friends, who may be scarce, bored or envious.
The morning is your favorite time of the day.
There is not much that can compare to a good dawn patrol to start your day. It makes waking up in the morning so much better knowing that you just need to grab your board and go- a cup of coffee on the way is always nice, too.
There is currently at least one wetsuit hanging over the railing of your porch. Just by looking at your place, someone will be able to tell if you are what we consider a “beach bum”.
Your car has half of the beach in it.
Whether it is sand, shells, or beach litter- your car is covered with remnants from the latest excursion. And honestly, you are quite ok with it. You have come to accept the sand permanently stuck in your floor board and in between the seats.
The most recommended videos on your Netflix are surf, ocean, and marine life related documentaries. A good flick to get you stoked is your favorite during your off days.
Your mood is somewhat dependent on the wave conditions. It could be raining for days or 20 degrees out, and all of your friends can’t figure out why you are so lively and up-beat. THE WAVES MAN!
Your friends commonly catch you day dreaming. In the back of your mind, you are constantly thinking about pop up techniques and some better maneuvers for your next ride.
Vacations are 95% of the time planned to somewhere that has surf. Think back to your past few travel adventures…any consist of water as far as the eye could see or sand between your toes with a board under your arm?
If you can relate to at least 3 or 4 of the above, we extend a warm welcome to the club! Hopefully in the near future there will be a bump and we see you out there.
