The Moment We Have All Been Waiting For!

It is time! It is with great pleasure that we can announce the opening of our 2021 camp registration. People have been asking for months in anticipation. It is humbling to hear so much about the awesome experiences from previous summers and the excitement for the new opportunities in our programs. 2021 is going to be an epic year.

We are stoked to announce that our residential programs will be moving back to Topsail for this season. What better way to spend our 20th year in operation than at the Surf Shack?! To the campers who have been with us since before 2020, you know how awesome The Shack is. To our 2020 campers and new campers, The Shake is our facility in North Topsail Beach. It is one street back from the ocean and you can walk out on your balcony every morning to check the waves. Everything we need is right there. It is also a great staging point if we want to explore other spots, since it is in the middle of everything. We are stoked to be back there.

We were one of very few camp programs that were able to run in 2020. The very nature of our sport requires more distance than most camps and we recognize how fortunate we have been because of this. Being able to run in 2020 means that we learned how to effectively navigate many of the risks associated with COVID-19. We will be taking these lessons learned and applying them to 2021 as well. The biggest difference between summer 2021 and summer 2020 (other than our NC residential housing) is that all residential and travel programs will require participants to show a negative COVID test from within three days prior to arrival at camp. This extra precaution will help us protect our campers who are spending more time together than day camp programs. Day camp programs and private lessons will not need COVID tests but will be subject to a well check prior to participating in their program.

We are excited for everyone to join us again for our 20th summer. We are committed to providing excellent programming this summer as with every summer before.
