Printable Directions:
From the Wilmington International Airport to Wrightsville Beach:

Upon leaving the airport, turn left onto 23rd Street. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Blvd. Follow signs toward Wrightsville Beach. You will cross Highway 17 and the road will turn into US 74 East/ Eastwood Road. Continue on 74 East/Eastwood Rd. US 74/US76 will merge just before you reach the Intracoastal Waterway Drawbridge.

*Continue over the Drawbridge- stay in the right lane and follow US76. Before the second bridge on your right hand side you will see The Landing Office Complex at 530 Causeway Drive.

From the Raleigh/Durham area and points North:
I-40 East towards Wilmington. As you approach Wilmington, the speed limit changes from 70 to 55mph. At the second stop light, take a left onto Highway 74 East. This intersection is clearly marked. Continue straight on Highway 74 East/Eastwood Road; Wrightsville Beach is approximately 6 miles away. Highways 74 & 76 will merge before you reach the Intracoastal Waterway Drawbridge.

From the Charlotte area or points West:
Take Hwy 74 or 76 East to Wilmington. You will cross the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge over the Cape Fear River. At the base of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, stay straight on Oleander Drive (Hwy 76 East) and Wrightsville Beach is about 8 miles away. Follow Oleander Drive (Hwy 76) East through Wilmington. Highways 74 & 76 will merge just before you reach the Intracoastal Waterway Drawbridge.

From South Carolina and points South:
Take Hwy 17 North to Wilmington. You will cross the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge over the Cape Fear River. At the base of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, stay straight on Oleander Drive (Hwy 76 East) and Wrightsville Beach is about 8 miles away. Follow Oleander Drive (Hwy 76) East through Wilmington. Highways 74 & 76 will merge just before you reach the Intracoastal Waterway Drawbridge.

Weather
The influence of the ocean and the Gulf Stream, averaging some 45 miles offshore, keeps Southeastern North Carolina's beaches from being too hot or too cold. Our beaches are cooled by our daily summer sea breeze, making for more enjoyable localized beach climate in comparison to more inland cities. Seasons are mild, with 212 sunshine days and mean average temperatures of 63.7 degrees Fahrenheit. Average rainfall is 50.85 inches.
