Beginner private and group surfing lessons are a great way to get introduced to the sport of surfing. If you have always wanted to give surfing a try and experience the ocean in a new way, our group surfing lessons are for you. Perfect for vacationers staying at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort, our popular 2-hour learn to surf clinic will get you stoked while keeping you safe. Learn surf board positioning, paddling, safety, etiquette and how to stand up and fall properly. Come alone or bring your friends and family to watch, laugh and take pictures of your memorable adventure.
Our private and group lessons are taught 7 days a week during the summer. Lessons consist of 45 minutes of our “Ground School”, and 1.25 hours of personalized water coaching. Our time tested and proven instructional methodology offers a step-by-step approach to your safety and skill development. The Blockade Runner is located in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. On the east side, the resort fronts the Atlantic Ocean with a wide sandy beach while the west side faces an Intracoastal Waterway harbor and anchorage.
