Teen Skate Camp - Skateboarding Camps
How would you like to spend two weeks having fun skating killer parks and surfing fun glassy waves in Southeastern North Carolina? Wrightsville Beach is the East Coast's mecca for both surfers and skaters alike and home to both Eastern Skate Supply and Warehouse Skateboards. In our Teen Surf & Skate Camp, you will get stoked on the concrete and in the water while getting away from home!
For those who love to skate and have always wanted to surf, what are you waiting for? There is a definite crossover between surfing and skating, and the skills you’ve learned on your skateboard will make you a natural on a surfboard. During this adventure, you will eat, sleep and live to skate and surf. If surfing is already your thing, then you will gain more knowledge from our certified instructors on how to advance your skills and take your surfing to the next level.
You will be joined by other like-minded teenagers whose desire to skate and surf consumes their every thought. We will surf a diverse mix of beach breaks, all providing a different experience that will surely send you home more stoked then when you came. After a morning surf session, we will head to several different skate parks where we will skate sick street courses, fun mini ramps, and bowls of all transitions and shapes. From vertical bowls to backyard styles, you will see progression take place from day one. Let our skilled instructors work with you to increase your confidence and help you achieve your skateboarding goals!
- Spend your first week learning how to surf or improving your skills
- During your second week, continue working on your surfing while bringing skating into the mix
- Surf clean, glassy waves at three area beach breaks
- Build your own skateboard while learning about the science, math and artistry behind skateboard design
- Skate both wooden and concrete bowls with a variety of transitions and shapes
- Experience sick street courses with a variety of hips, rails, and ledges
- Learn new tricks and increase your current skill level
Tuition for this two week adventure is $2995 and includes the following: lodging in air conditioned suites on UNC-Wilmington's beautiful campus, snacks, meals, 24-hour adult supervision, shuttle to and from Wilmington's international airport (ILM), equipment (surf board rental, rashguard usage), daily transportation, t-shirt, activity fees, skate park admission fees, and your group photo. Participants must bring their own skateboarding equipment. Check in is noon on the first day and check out is by noon on the last day ensuring maximum skate & surf time.
