Australia Surf Camp - Teen Adventure

Have you ever thought about traveling down under and surfing the Gold Coast of Australia? Do you want to improve your surfing skills while enjoying an amazing world class surf destination? Did you know that this continent has wildlife that can only be found in one place on earth? Come surf with us in the warm waters of Byron Bay, New South Wales. Learn how to predict, select, and judge waves, and discover why some waves break better than others. Explore and surf the undeveloped beaches in the Byron Shire and visit metropolitan areas like the Gold Coast, home of the Superbank.

This is a learn to surf adventure, prior surfing experience is not required. Participants will use safe soft boards, learn about ocean safety and surfing fundamentals. Our professional instructors will enthusiastically encourage beginner surfers, while intermediate participants are coached on developing pre-existing skills.

The camp is being held in the chill town of Byron Bay (northern New South Wales), Australia. With a population of roughly 9,000 people, many of whom are environmentalists and surfers, this coastal area is quickly becoming a surfing Mecca. Participants explore the undeveloped dramatic coast from Main Beach, Watego’s, and Lennox Head, to the more publicized beaches of the Gold Coast such as Surfers Paradise, Snapper Rocks and the ecologically threatened South Stradbroke Island.

Experience Australian hospitality the “Right Way” on this 16-day surfing adventure! Surf Camp is all about having fun and meeting new people, while being utterly immersed in the sport and lifestyle of surfing. The focus of this teen adventure is full immersion into the Australian surf culture and unique costal environment through hands on feet wet learning.

This program is for teens ages 14 - 18. Cost $4795 includes: Housing accommodations, all meals (from lunch on Day One through & including lunch on Day Sixteen), 24-hour same gender supervision, admission to all events/activities, equipment, professional surfing instruction, surfboard rentals, transportation to and from events, camp t-shirt, airport transportation, and lots of fun! Each person is responsible for: round-trip airfare to Brisbane Australia (BNE), travel insurance and additional money for any desired souvenirs/gifts.
