Kids Overnight Surf Camp - Wrightsville Beach
Wrightsville Beach Surf Camp takes place on the pristine beaches of Southeastern North Carolina. Money magazine has named the southern end of the North Carolina Coast one of the top 12 vacation spots in North America. This area, know as the "Cape Fear Coast" is considered the Hollywood of the East and home to the hit WB show Dawson's Creek. For you Wahine's, we were just rated by SG Girl magazine as one of the top ten places in the world to travel alone for an unforgettable surf adventure. With average summertime water temps in the low 80's, wetsuits are not needed and average small lazy summertime waves are perfect for beginner surfers.
Our 6 day overnight kids summer camps are exciting fun filled weeks of surfing, improving your skills, and exploring different coastal ecosystems. Come surf four different islands while having the time of your life. Learn what it would be like attending UNC-Wilmington while staying on campus in air conditioned suites! We cater to the absolute beginner. Don't worry, if you are an intermediate, our staff of professional instructors will take you to the next level. $1495/week includes all lodging on UNCW's beautiful campus, meals, 24-hour adult supervision, shuttle to and from Wilmington's international airport (ILM), equipment (surf board rental, rashguard usage), professional surfing instruction (3-1 student to instructor ratio with an additional full time camp nanny), daily transportation to and from activities, t-shirt, activity fees, sea turtle hospital tour and donation, admission and behind the scenes tour of the Fort Fisher Aquarium, surfboard factory tour, certificate of achievement, and your graduating class photo. Check in is noon on the first day and check out is between 3:00 - 4:00pm on the last day ensuring maximum surf time. All of our teen camps have a zero tolerance policy to the possession or use of any tobacco, alcohol, or drugs of any kind.
